Features of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

Upgrading the Monster Hunter World

If you already have the Monster Hunter’s digital world installed then you only need to upgrade it to massive expansion DLC.So, let me take you to the world where the creepy and scary monsters are attacking their region, despite the new cold region they haven’t frozen and are ready to attack powerfully whenever they want.

The games begin with the story that 40 years ago their expedition failed so they left to the next generation in hope that they will destroy all the monsters and save their beautiful region and they are there in the land to save because someone back from the past era believed in them.

The attack of the creepy monsters is really hard to bear, they attack in a straight line, and throws whatever comes in their path either trees from the roots or rocks. The attack of trees and rocks increases the width and density of attack so you have to save from these attacks very sharply.
So, in this post, I’ll briefly talk about the regions, environment, weather, weapons, monsters, and their attacks and everything which is coming in this new exciting game.

Ecosystem

The game takes place in two regions one part in the old continent; Coral Highlands or Ancient Forest and the other is in cold region of Hoarfrost Reach.

Hoarfrost Reach, the advance and new location of Iceborne

One of the most exciting and new features is the icy zone in the game which is full of snow and one of the largest regions in Monster, Hunter, Icerborne world so far. It’s the region full of trees, and popo just likes in an earlier game where there are herds of animals which you cannot find in the polar or snowy regions but Capcom has tried to make this game with so many exciting features that lead you to another fantasy leaving the world behind.

We all know that fighting in the winter’s chill breeze is so difficult but don’t worry Capcom has resolved your problem by enabling you to have some hot peppers in the form of some drink which will boost your stamina to fight with cold scary chills and creepy monsters. But the weather isn’t going to stay chill all there will be regions where you can warm up yourself in hot springs.

Ancient Land
The tall trees in the ancient region tall enough to touch the sky make a complex ecosystem with shining sun and warm weather which make the surroundings clear and easy to fight the battle with those scary monsters.

Coral Highlands
The mysterious region of the ocean where there are magical corals all around.

Seliana
The game also has a new headquarter named: Seliana, where the players of a hub can relax in the frosty environment.
This will enhance the interaction of all the players around which enables and facilitates them to relive again if they are knocked out in various lands.

A Monster Cab “Hail”

While it consumes much time in roaming from here and there but there is another feature which will lead you to reach your destination much more speedily. Capcom introduces that you can travel on the back of the monster which will remain wild but will lead you to places which are far away in the map.

Master Rank

Instead of the G version after the lower rank, Capcom has introduced the new rank “The Master Rank”.
This feature of MHW introduces a new tier of equipment, quests, and foes as well.

How to Unlock Master Rank

Iceborne’s new Monsters

Velkhana

The most dangerous monster of snowy area “Hoarfrost Reach” which has the power to freeze all coming in its path.
It can easily bear the chilly breezes of cold and can freeze anything with his icy blast in a moment.

Zinogre

The deadliest one on the region is “Zinogre”. With his fanged wyvern (winged reptilian beast similar to a dragon in appearance) and its lightning through the fur attacks the player with his full power.

Brachydios

Brachydios has massive arms coated in highly explosive sticky green slime.
The creature can activate its slime to make its punches explosives, water attacks are particularly effective against it.

Tigrex

Tigrex is a flying wyvern which is known for his powerful roar and attacks with his overwhelming charge in the legs.

Shrieking Legian

A Legiana variant shrouded in white frost. It specializes in freezing prey with the powerful chill it emits,
then swooping down to strike at them from overhead.

Nargacuga

A flying wyvern covered in pitch-black fur.
It is extremely agile, especially on the ground, moving with explosive bursts of speed.

Banbaro

A monster with two giant horns, like a running brick wall.
It charges at threats while digging its massive horns in the ground, sometimes picking up entire trees along the way.

Beotodus

A piscine wyvern that uses the sharp fin on its head to cut through the frozen soil, swimming freely through the snow.
Can often be seen hurling snow at its prey using its leg fins

Barioth

The snow-white flying wyvern with huge tusks found in the frozen tundra. It uses its forelegs and tail to traverse ice with ease.

Glavenus

A brute wyvern that wields its heavy blue tail like a blade. It grows hotter and more keen with each strike until it glows red.

Weapons

Clutch Claw

Weapons which are used to attack, climb or steer around the creepy and scary monsters, so they would be blow down off a cliff or mountain. It will also work like a coping knob which you can easily use while you caught the creepy monsters. Every weapon can be used with the combination clutch claw so the attack will be more powerful as the capacity of weapons is multiplied.

Flinch Shot (Slinger Burst)

This weapon will lead you to attack towards the head of the monster where you can load all of the weapons and making him hurt with the attacks. You can also trap them or making them throw on the wall.

Dual Blades

The capcom also introduces the dual blades which can attack the monsters with dual power at a single time and the powerful sword can make the monster a flinch so that you can kill the monster or blow its head.

Great Sword

A slow, heavy weapon with massive damage potential, the Great sword is the heavy artillery of melee weapons. While simple at first, the Greatsword requires skilled timing and spacing in order to get the most out of it. On offense, the Great sword attacks with slow, ponderous swings that hit with high damage and stagger.

Hunting Horn

A light hearted weapon, the Hunting Horn is a welcome addition to any hunting party. The main feature of the Hunting Horn is its ability to play music. Every attack adds a music note to a music sheet and once the correct sequence of notes are played, a melody is made and added to a melody sheet. Up to three melodies can be stored on the melody sheet with new ones replacing old ones. Hunters can play any melody they have stored at any time. The exact sequence of notes required for a melody, and the melody’s effects, vary from Hunting Horn to Hunting Horn. The effects of a melody can range from attack buffs to immunity to monster roars to curing poison, and they effect every hunter near the Hunting Horn; user included. Once the hunter has played all the melodies they wanted to, they can still attack the monster. The Hunting Horn is still a weapon after all, and a very viable one at that. High damage and a simple move set makes for a strong offense while dealing only blunt damage make the Hunting Horn very good at stunning the monster.
Hammer

The Hammer is a fast, hard hitting weapon. As expected, the Hammer deals only blunt damage which makes it perfect for dealing stun damage and knocking out the monster. The Hammer’s basic attacks are surprisingly fast for such a heavy weapon, and deal quite a bit of damage. They also have high chaining potential, and are very good at hitting the same spot over and over again, like the monster’s head to rack up stun damage. Hammers can also do charge attacks. They have three charge levels, just like the Greatsword, but the Hammer allows hunters to run around while charging up their attack. The type of charge attack also changes base on if the hunter is standing still or moving when the attack goes off. The moving charge attack can also be chained into follow up attacks. Lastly, Hammers can do a self buff while charging. This buff increases attack damage and stun damage, and gives minor hyper armor during charge attacks. The Hammer was built to cave in monster skulls with brutal efficiency, and it is very good at its job.

Heavy Bowgun

The Heavy Bowgun is the artillery of ranged weapons. It specializes in high damage rounds at a range. While it does not have the same special effects of the Light Bowgun, the Heavy Bowgun dishes out damage more reliably, breaks parts faster, and staggers monsters more easily. Movement with the Heavy Bowgun drawn is extremely slow, and the roll, while covering a significant distance, is very unwieldy.

How to Capture a Monster

These are the steps to catching a monster in Monster Hunter World:
1. Make sure you’ve crafted some Tranq Bombs and a few traps when starting your hunt,
combine Trap Tools + Thunderbugs or Nets to make traps, and Parashrooms + Sleep Herbs to make Tranq Bombs.

2. Locate the monster you want to trap and lay into it. You’ll want to damage it enough to bring it near death but not kill it – you’ll know you’ve sufficiently wounded it once it starts limping away in retreat and/or a skull appears next to its icon on the mini-map.

3. Lay down one of the traps in its path, or lay down the trap beneath it once it goes to sleep at its den.

Once it’s trapped, throw multiple Tranq Bombs in its face to make it fall asleep.
The quest will then end, or you’ll see a notification on the right if you were on an Expedition.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne system

The feel of hunts has been improved slightly as in earlier game the scary monsters have only dual health pools. Which were divided as one for the hunts which were single and the other one was two or even more players. Only three players can hunt but now something new and exciting has come along the Iceborne.

In this advanced form of Iceborne there a new pool of health that feels even much better for the count of players. What happens that if some of the players disconnect, the health of the monster will be adjusted automatically. Not only in ice borne, but this new feature of health pool will also appear automatically to all players as an upgrade.

Hunter Help

Capcom has also introduced a new system “Hunter Helper”, and the beneficial ones are the veteran players who can help the players with a lower rank. So, for the players who haven’t finished the version of Monster Hunter World and want to catch up can easily play the ice borne version. And the players or your friends who are playing at the higher rank or master rank can get proper rewards by playing the quests and completing your storyline.

Design

The design and graphics of the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is developed so interactively that each battle and monster catch the attention of the player that how to tackle the monster and what weapons could be suitable to kill the monster. Every region has its different beasts that have to attacked differently and the fear continues. The game is designed in two parts one phase is completed in the but the game is developed so trickily that you cannot easily win.

Is Monster Hunter World Cross Platform?

Many gamers are asking this question, but unfortunately, Monster Hunter World is not going to support cross platform play between PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.This means that in order to play the cooperative and multiplayer aspects of Monster Hunter World with your friends,
you will need to play on the same platform, whether that’s PC, Xbox One, or PlayStation 4.

Short Review

So, in concluding or summing up the massive explosion version of Monster Hunter World i.e. Iceborne, I must say it’s a game not to be missed. Every single feature attracts the player, the scary monsters and the power to kill them with new clutch claw and exciting weapons. The landscape, the regions, the weather of chilly breezes and hot spring makes all the game so realistic that no one can keep himself sustain to play this most exciting and awaited game of the year. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is not so easy, it is exciting but it’s a challenging one which is somehow difficult and steeper than the previous one and its amazingly supercool thrilling game for its players. Your Palico Companion also can make you revive again by giving you a chance of becoming alive and playing again if you’re knocked out.
